My First Memory



MY FIRST MEMORY..........



 When my Mum,Dad my sister,brothers and I went to the Northland, we went to Rainbows End. We went to the lolly shop but we couldn't make our own lollies because it was closed.We stayed in a hotal in Auckland because we did not have a house.

             THE MONKEY

He is a leaper,
Leaping in the mighty jungle.

He is a food disposal,
Snapping is sharp teeth.

He is an acrobat,
Flipping round and round.

He is an entertainer,
Exciting tourists with tricks.

He is a swing,
Rocking backwards and forwards.

In the trees of the jungle,
He is the king.

The Athletic Sports


The Athletic sports were usual  enough; it had
The shot put,the discus,the long jump,the high jump
And even the long distance
I never went to. My class mates, my friends and I
Did what 11 year old girls do; stretched our legs over
the high jump,ran like the speed of light,threw the shot put as far as possible,cheered our friends on,gave them a hug if they came in a place or did well, did your best.

MY GOLD COAST JOURNEY

In 2012 I flew to the warm sunshine filled with fun at the Gold Coast for a holiday  with my family. When we were finally seated on the noisy plane, lots of other passengers were around me. After we had landed 3 hours later picked up our rental car I was so excited to be there.


Day one of my exciting holiday. My family and I raced to the rental car that dad had hired.Eventually we were in the car park of Dream World. We took our bag that we took in. All of us had our smiling faces on and quickly  walked to the start of our first adventure. When I walked into  Dream World I did not expect the big variety of the rides. All around me were rides,shops,people screaming and people chatting. My first ride was the claw, the chairs flew from side to side,it felt like you were going to be thrown out. Thankfully we were safely belted in.


After experiencing  ten of the rides we could smell lunch,so we stopped. We ate yummy hot dogs and chips which were smothered in tomato sauce yummy.


After all the rides were closed we needed to go,I was sad,I did not want to go home after having such a blast.


What:WALT... recount our experiences, thoughts and feelings in a way that is interesting to our readers.

So What: My recount is about an experience that I thought was the best so far in my life.

Now What:To add more interesting words to make people want to go there.

How Does A TV Work?

A tv is for transmitting and receiving moving images that can be black and white or coloured with a sound.

Paul Nipkow invented the TV in 1884,he invented the first tv in black and white.

A TV is powered by a power satellite that brings you channels. You have a button on the screen on the side that you put the TV on. satellite dishes pick up signals which are sent into space by television stations and bounced back to earth off satellites.

Some people used TV set for business, so they can get information on what is the weather or what is going on in the world.

In the olden day people did not have blue-ray or moves they did not even have any pictures.Today you can see satellite dishes picking up from houses and many apartments.They receive tv signals have colour.


A TV is something that people use to get information from or for work.Also it is a communication tool.

Enlargement

WALT:  Enlargement a sharp by positive scale factor e.g a scale factor.

WHAT:We were learning to do a scale factors.First we needed to figer out the scale factor is, say it was 2  was the scale factor and there was 2 across it would be 2x2=4 so you do 4 across and so on.


NOW WHAT:If i could do this again i would look at the question closely

WHAT Firstly I had to decide what we wanted to draw what we wanted to decide we needed to have koru designs,rotating translating reflecting.The mountains represents the southern alps.The rive represents the Makarirl.

Anzac poppy

So What : in our class we were learning about ANZAC day and we had to write some poems. First we had to find so words to describe what ANZAC day and war was about. Then we had to use three words of them after we new what three words we were going to do we had to do phrases on the word for eg family,worried, crying at home.


Now What:I think I need to work on is making it more like a poem sound it sounds more catchy and reads in rhythm.

Term 1 and 2 Learning Goals


 Reading
So What I think I am going really well with some of my goal. I am really good at telling someone what I am reading about.We have been doing reading activities on the story so we understand what we are reading about in the story.

Now What To get more information on what I am reading so I understand more about what I am reading.


Writing
So What I think I am doing really well with my goal are I am really good at doing a plan. We have been doing some writing like my first memory,my favorite story is,my proudest moment is and what I did after school my my, my favorite was my proudest moment because it had lots of information in it.

Now What I need to learn to do more paragraphs.

Mathematics 
So What I think I am going really well with some of my goal is getting high scores in basic facts so I can speed up my basic facts I am really good at my 2,5,9 and my 10 time tables.We have been leaning Symmetry,Reflective,Rotate and Translate  in my math .I am doing really well with Symmetry,Reflective,Rotate and Translate.

Now What I need to learn to use addition and multiplication strategies in a range of ways to solve a problems.
